Need for Speed World (previously known as Need for Speed: World Online) is the fifteenth installment in the video game Need for Speed franchise published by Electronic Arts. This iteration has been co-developed by EA Black Box (Quicklime Games now renamed) and EA Singapore. It is the first freemium MMORG in the Need for Speed series (though Motor City Online was originally conceived as a Need for Speed game) and is available exclusively for Windows-based PC. World was released worldwide on July 27, 2010. However, people who ordered the Need for Speed: World Starter Pack had an early “head-start” in the game, which started on July 20, 2010.

World takes on the style of play of Most Wanted and Carbon, 2006, 2005, focuses on illegal street racing, tuning and police chases, and adds classic MMO elements to the mix such as special abilities. World also features the cities of Rockport and Palmont, the cities of Most Wanted and Carbon, in its map design, with redesigned graphics and new locations on the map to make the trip between the two cities easier. The game now has more than 100 licensed cars consisting tuners, muscle cars, exotic and race cars. In Rockport, there are signs on the ring road in downtown Rockport that said “Tri-Cities” along with the roads leading to a toll bridge on the other side. However, the road tolls beyond crashes to all drivers. Need for speed fans assume that there are plans to add Tri-City of Shadows in the game.
In December 2010, the car Performance Customization was made available to players. Players can win kelewat / over the draw. The pieces coveted Pro and Ultra series are extremely rare. Free players are less likely to win a share compared to those who bought SpeedBoost. Packages Special cards can be purchased with SpeedBoost giving highly coveted pieces. The March 16, 2011, visual customization aftermarket also made available. Removed all bodykits cash game in previous versions. Most body kits require SpeedBoost to buy. The March 31, 2011, Electronic Arts introduced a new game mode called Team Escape, a version of a police chase cooperative, where up to four players must race as a team driving from point A to point B while avoiding numerous cops. For this mode, two versions of the cooperative game power-ups have been released. The July 26, 2011, a new game mode called Treasure Hunt was released. In this mode, plays during free roam, players collect gems fifteen around a random selected area once a day in the world of winning increases the reputation and cash in the game. Play Treasure Hunt mode several days can build what is known as a treasure hunt streak. Players can earn performance parts or additional high-end power-ups after completing each hunt based on the calculation of days of the run (for example, if the player completes a treasure hunt for twelve consecutive days will receive a level of 1 pro performance part). Customizing Skill was released, replacing the system level rise ancient skill point. All former players who had invested skill points skill mods got that correspond with the skills they had invested points in. Players can only receive a maximum of 125 mods skill regardless of the number of skills or cars they had. 4-star (highest) skill mods can win sweepstakes or buy through packs of cards. Mods of a star can be purchased in the game cash.In end of 2012, a new career mode was released. Called “Drag mode”, this mode allows players to Drag Race other players in several bands semi-straight roads. So far, the single player mode is not an option and no traffic.
Before September 8, 2010, after reaching level 10 and access to only first level and some level cars, the player can not move forward in the game and would cease to earn more experience points or cash. To continue the game, the player had to purchase the Need for Speed World Starter Pack. Without it, the player is allowed to play the game for as long as he or she wants, but he or she would cease to earn experience and cash. The September 8, 2010 WORLD had spent 1,000,000 records. To celebrate this, the game became free-to-play and the maximum level was removed.
