A new feature that brings Ubuntu is the emergence of a new login system called LightDM. It was a change which I think is necessary especially if Canonical wants to show a maturity in the the graphical interface.
Unfortunately these changes necessarily imply search options to configure them graphically. And we already have it thanks to Simple LighDM Manager, an application allows us to change the background of the login screen.
To install open a terminal and type

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:claudiocn/slm
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install simple-lightdm-manager
Once installed, you can access it from the Dash writing LightDM Manager:
At the moment there is little that can be done, but this is more than enough for now. You can set the wallpaper and logo welcome. Probably more will be added to future options, and that is appreciated.
