Indicator Applet On Gnome Classic, Here's How ...

On the new Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric in addition to use as a desktop environment Unity and Unity 2D We can also install Gnome Shell and with it GNOME Classic or fallback that is the version made by the team GNOME for those with dated PCs whose graphics card does not support the new Gnome Shell.
GNOME Classic or fallback is an environment very similar to Gnome 2 desktop in fact, allows you to manage the desktop panels, add new applets and also returns to the much-loved pop-up menu.

Also on Gnome Classic or fallback we can all get back a little applet revised to adapt to the new Gnome 3 including the indicator user, session, etc.. For add, remove or move an applet on Gnome Classic just press ALT and click the right mouse button on the panel.

Jason Conti has created a PPA with which we can integrate Indicator applet found on Unity of Gnome Classic so you can also have this session of the MeMenu, SoundMenu and the new user sajian offered in the default desktop.

Through the Indicator Applet on Gnome Classic we also add the 'AppMenu or globalmenu in order to have the same features of an environment, however, like the good old Gnome 2 desktop,

To install the Indicator Applet on GNOME Classic Simply start the terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jconti/gnome3

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install indicator-applet indicator-applet-complete indicator-applet-session
even if we are the 'AppMenu or globalmenu just type in terminal:
sudo apt-get install indicator-applet-appmenu
now you can remove the applet and the default ALT+right mouse button click Add and choose the new applet Indicator Applet such as the 'Complete Indicator that allows us to have MeMenu, SoundMenu etc..
