The arrival of Gnome 3 has also brought a new interface called Gnome Shell which allows a new user experience, the team tried to semplificare desktop environment trying to create a single space dedicated to the management called Activity.
Gnome Shell unlike Gnome 2 default offers very few customizations ,The user can still install dedicated extensions which allow us to add new features to the new desktop environment.
If we want to add a new sajian integrated in the panel, A kafetaria with the list of active windowsat the bottom of the desk, ourand favorite applications on the panel etc. We can do it through a single extension called GNOME Shell Frippery.
GNOME Shell Frippery is a simple Gnome Shell Extension which allows us to customizing our new desktop environment for example by adding a sajian in the panel which will allow us to directly access all of our applications installed without seeking the Dash.
Also GNOME Shell Frippery also adds the ability to add the bottom panel with the 'list of active windows and sElector of workspaces (By clicking with the right mouse button on it we can add or remove new work spaces). GNOME Shell Frippery also allows you to add our favorite applications in the panel and move the clock on the right panel as Gnome 2 ,Also allows you to replace the pause button in our user sajian (the top right) with Shutdown and Restart.
GNOME Shell Frippery is available in 2 versions one for the new Gnome Shell 3.2 and the other for older versions remember that before you install the extension must be installed Gnome Tweak Tools.
